Rosie
Sandifer’s formal education began at Southwestern State
University in Oklahoma in the commercial art program and continued
at Texas Tech University in art education. Rosie pursued her
art training at Ray Froman Portrait Painting School in Cloudcroft,
New Mexico, where she painted three portraits each day from
life. In Stowe, Vermont, Rosie studied landscape painting
with Frank Mason of the Art Student’s League. As she
began pursuing sculpture in an effort to better her draughtsman
abilities, she formed the human figure from life at university
classes.
Rosie Sandifer’s painting medium is oil.
